Resume and internship preparation

No prior internship? You can still build a compelling resume by showing projects, outcomes, and initiative. Recruiters care about proof of skills, not job titles.

What to include (even with “no experience”)

  • Projects with measurable results (builds, research, writing, clubs).
  • Skills that map to the internship (tools, methods, languages).
  • Leadership and reliability (roles, deadlines, ownership).

Start with a one-page structure

Write bullets like a builder

Use “did X using Y resulting in Z”. If Z is not a number, make it a real result: shipped, improved, reduced, created, published, presented.
